We're a specialist compliance-software company for BaFin-supervised institutions. Built by AML and payments-infrastructure operators, we turn the regulatory obligations a firm can't afford to get wrong into accountable outcomes: run, reviewed, and defensible under audit and deadline pressure, for the compliance leaders who personally carry the risk.
Why we started
We were done working around the problem.
Between us, we have spent over 30 years building the compliance and regulatory platforms that banks and funds run on. We have seen how this work really gets done. Some of it was great. A lot of it was not.
We watched vendors sell bloated systems that looked good in procurement but fell apart in production. We sat through 18-month projects that shipped the wrong thing. We saw compliance teams scrambling to patch platforms that nobody designed with regulators in mind.
And the people answerable when the regulator calls got the worst of it: spreadsheets held together by hand, advisors who bill by the hour, and platforms built for someone else's problem. We knew it didn't have to be this way. So we started WBP.

Karthik is the principal architect behind WBP's platforms. He led the end-to-end design and build of a full AML compliance platform for a regulated client, owning everything from the architecture and data model to the security controls, regulatory workflows, and product experience. Across a fintech career spanning payments, credit, and alternative asset management, he has built products that are technically robust and made for real-world adoption.

Knowing the regulation is one thing. Building software that stands up to it is another. Regulation moves and gets interpreted, so we don't try to freeze it in code.
